Tuesday Spotlight

Today's Spotlight we have sweet
Who makes the most gorgeous Sassy creations..

She made this gorgeous card and tag for us with sweet Tammy on

*Start by telling us a little about you:
Hi I am Julia, I am in my early 30’s and Live in Inverness Scotland. I work from home as a secretary, so it’s great sometimes I can be at work in my Pyjamas but as long as I use my best telephone voice no one knows!! And nearly every spare moment I have is spent on crafting.

*When did you start card making and what made you start?
I have been crafting since I was a little girl, I first started with sewing, making my own hair accessories until I moved onto making my own clothes. I have done cross-stitch, cake decorating, knitting. I took art at school and was always sketching and painting.

I used to look at the “handmade style” cards in shops the type that had a bit of corrugated card and a paper flower, and I thought I could do that and it would save me money ... I started out with old wrapping paper dried flowers and wet glue. Then about 6 or 7 years ago my mum bought me some crafting goodies as a present and the obsession began from there. It hasn't saved me money, in fact it costs me a small fortune but I love it so I don't care!!

*What is your preferred coloring medium?
At the moment it is copic’s but I keep looking at the beautiful effect of Prisma pencils on Kraft so I think that is the next thing on my wish list.

*What is your fav Simply Sassy stamp?
Oooh this is difficult I love so many of them and as soon as I saw this question at least 5 popped into my head, so I have based this on the one that I have inked up the most which is High School Student, I have recently purchased winking student, and I think she could quickly catch up in the inking department!! .... I do Love the girls with the Glasses!

*How did you notice the Simply Sassy stamps the first time?
I am a huge fan of Sugar Nellie , I follow the blog, and I am lucky enough to live about an hour away from Elgin the home of Sugar Nellie, so I was eagerly awaiting the release of the first Simply Sassy Stamps.

*What is your favourite style (card making)?
I don't think I really have a style, but I definitely have phases ... ie shabby chic or C&S ... I love it all, I think I most love masking, I enjoy trying to create whole scenes by using lots of rubber stamps.

*And what would you love to see more of at the Simply Sassy blog?
In the risk of sounding really corney, I love it just the way it is ...
I always love looking at all the inspiration and the tutorials.

Here are some of the amazing Sassy creation you can find in Julia's blog but do go visit her as you really get a lot of inspiration looking through her blog!!
(yes it was really hard picking just a few to show you here!!)

Puppy Love and something useful

Happy friday! This is Kathrin with another post to inspire you. Actually I have two projects to share again. The first one is using one of the stamps from the newest release:

Puppy Love.

I am unable to find it over at Funkykits so it might be out of stock at the moment...

I started this card and while I did the coloring I was thinking about what to use as embellishments. Then I remembered this stamps wheel one of my twins bought a little while ago. It shows paw prints all over and so I used the entire wheel on the white ribbon/tape and just single prints for the flower centers and metallic frame. When I then also found those bone charms and paper in my stash I was really happy!

I really think this stamp is great not only for christmas cards but for any card you plan to give to a dog lover!

These are the Copics I used for the coloring here:

Well, I have been talking about two projects so here´s the second one, made using an older stamp of the Simply Sassy range

I Love To Read:

For some reason those images with glasses are my favourites...

Here I made a little box where you can store some note papers in. And the sentiment says "you have to write down what you can´t keep in mind".

To me this is the perfect image with this sentiment - she looks a bit like one of those kids that always forget stuff, loose stuff or fall over their own feet... So having some note papers at hand for sure doesn´t hurt.LOL

Here I used these Copics:

Okay, so I am wishing all of you another wonderful weekend - and just in case the weather where you are is as bad as here in Germany: lots of happy crafting!

Mix and match...

For those of you following my blog I'm sorry for I have nothing brand new to show today,
but for those of you who don't I have..
Have been a little under the weather this last week so my production haven't been that big.
We're changing our web provider this weekend so I thought I'd better schedule..

Fist off..
My sketch is up over at The Sugar Bowl

and here is what I made with it

I've used I love to read

The papers are from Maja Design, I so love those papers both for design and colors
I've colored with Copic's and the frame is a nestie die called Lacey Circles.
The sentiment I have printed from my computer. Such a great way to get just the sentiment you want and looks so good on kraft paper.

And what an amazing prize over at the Bowl too One set of nestie's AAAND
Set 6!!! Of Simply Sassy.
So If you love the Sassy girls and I KNOW you do there is simply no excuse not to enter!!

So over to the Mix and Match..

This as you can see is Bad Hare day, Oh I really love those cheeks!
So then I thought..hmmm she might fancy some birds!!
So the birds are borrowed from

Spread your wings.. but hey, she let the bird fly so now you know where the went..
Haha I'm so funny today (a fever can do that to you..)
So now I'm off to try out my Brand New Sassy's so I can show you a sneak peek next Saturday..
