One for the girls - one for the boys

Hello Sassy-Fans - and happy friday to all of you! I am going to share two cards with you today - one for the girls but also one for the boys since there are those sassy boys´ images too and I think they definately deserve being mentioned here too!

So, let´s start with the girls card above. I used High School Student for it. It´s such a cute image! I love her glasses and that little lunch box she is carrying with her. I thought it would be perfect for a back to school card - and I just had to color her in red and white/grey. The papers are from DCWV and My Mind´s Eye. I didn´t have any matching paper with hearts but so wanted to use some to make it match with the hearts on the lunch box. So I used that ribbon instead and also used a heart shaped brad to fix the book charm.

Now, on to the boys card:

I made a stair step card for a friend that will have a baby girls beginning of march. Well, do you have any younger siblings? I do - and I remember how hard it can be when you were used to be the one and only and then you have to share the time and love of your parents... So I went and made the soon to be big brother a card saying "congrats on being a big brother".

I had to use Lost in Thought here which comes with the Romantic Dreamer stamp. I think he is perfect - looking cool but also like "hey, little sister, I am standing there, watching and taking care of you". Of course flowers and bling would have been way too un-cool here and so I went with a button and a few punched circles as embellishments (well, and those punched brown things that I really don´t know what to call them - even not in german!LOL).

The images on both cards were colored with Copic markers.

So, that´s it for today. I am wishing all of you a wonderful weekend!

  6. Fabulous coloring. While I love both cards, the boy card is my fave. I love the gears you added, the color palette, and the design. Adorable! What a sweetheart you are to think of the big brother like that.

  7. Love your thoughtfulness with the Big Brother card & how you've made it such an interesting & special card. That should go a long way to helping the little boy not feel left out. The Back to School card is equally thoughtful & so full of detail. These are both really great & hope you have a good weekend too.
