Tracy - Sneak Peek

Hiya Simply Sassy Fans,

Hope everyone has had a good weekend and that you enjoyed the inspiration giving by the design team last week.  I'm back this morning with a special treat as I have received my new stamps, so I can give you a sneak peek of one of the soon to be released Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy Stamps, woo hoooo.  My mojo went walkabouts this weekend, so wasn't terribly pleased when trying to do my card but it returned as soon as match of the day came on.  Bet that's never been said before, lol.  Anyway I was crafting pretty late making a fancy envelope to go with the card, there is a link on my blog to the tutorial if you are interested.   Hope you like it.  I'll apologise now for the amount of photo's, I got carried away.

I inked all the edges with Aged Mahogony Distress ink.  As you can see it's tied to the side with ribbon.

You can nearly see her........

Almost there, just showing you the envelope opening...........

Yayyyyyy, here she is.  I have merged her with a digi background, Daffodil's Dell availble HERE at Make It Crafty.  Zoe has the most fabulous backgrounds that you can use with all your stamps. I printed out the digi image and using my mag-a-jig from stamping up I worked out where I should position my simply sassy stamp.  I then took my cardstock and stamped my image in position.  I then stamped the image again using staz on onto some masking film and cut her out. I placed the masking film over my image and fed it through the printer.  I peeled off my mask and voila.  I was pleased with the outcome and the bird is almost positioned on top of the daffodil.

I added some birds and some clouds using a scalloped circle and my chalks.  I have also added some flower soft to the taller flowers giving them a bit of texture.

So as not to confuse you, the stamp consists of the simply sassy girl and the little bird, i just wanted to show you that you can create fabulous scenes using your stamps and digi images.  Can you see the little ladybird at the bottom there.......I added a bit of dimensional glue onto the ladybug.

And there's the envelope together with the card.

I have used the following copics:-
BV17, 13, 11,00,0000
E11, 00,000, R20
C8, 6,4,2,00
YG67, 63, 03, 20
E25, 49, 53, 59

Have a good week everyone and don't forget to check back tomorrow for some more design team inspiration.

  14. This is lovely with all the detail. The inking of the punched edges is such a lovely touch, especially in that colour with the dark violet. The blue bird, her blue eyes & the bluish violet ribbon all work so well with the BV Copics & they really "pop" - suddenly realised why - the YGs. Your composition is a brilliant lesson & example in colour theory really working in practice. I learnt so much from this - thank you - & I got so excited by this image with the little bird & those amazing shoes.

  16. I can't believe you have picked one of the images I have on my wall that the wonderful Krista sent me as part of my nov prize. she very kindly said I could choose some items from her etsy store, boy was that hard and this image as a print was one of my choices so now she looks down on me along with some of her other fab cuties. Can't wait to play with the rubber myself.
