Simply Annoying...

Hi there Sassy fans, hope you all enjoyed the blog hop yesterday, I know I did! If you're wondering what I'm on about, set 5 was released yesterday and the post below this one will give you all the deets for the hop ;o)!

For your inspiration today I made two bookmarks in different styles, one is a corner bookmark and I have to tell you, ever since I stamped that sentiment yesterday afternoon the Brady Bunch theme song has been running through my head (hence the "annoying" in the title ;o)).
Here's the story
Of a lovely lady
Who was bringing up three very lovely girls...

or something to that effect. I'll think twice about using that sentiment stamp again, I can tell you ;o) The other bookmark is really simple, easy to make but so fun! And I thought the witch and the sentiment went well together (and also tie in nicely with the title of the book...).

While I was resizing the photograph earlier (unfortunately I'm not one of those super-organised people who have their posts ready weeks in advance...more's the pity!) I was thinking that I should have colour-coordinated the book with the design paper. I have about fifty gazillion books so I'm sure an orange, blue or brown one wouldn't have been too hard to find...oh well ;o)

Isn't she just the cutest with her little bunny, waiting for her bedtime story? This stamp is called Bad Hare Day and boy ain't that the truth...I stamped and coloured this image twice just to get her hair right, then went with my first effort anyway. So now she really is having a Bad Hair Day ;o)

Materials used:

Stamps: Simply Sassy "Bad Hare Day" and "Best Witches"; Magnolia books; sentiments from My Favorite Things and Stamping Bella
Paper: Bazzill Basics cardstock brown; My Mind's Eye paper "Mabel"
Embellishments: buttons, ribbon
Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Circles large, Scalloped Circles large

Copics:
E00, E51, E93, E21 (skin, cheeks, lips)
E44, E43, E42, E41 (hair, broomhandle)
BG11, BG13, BG15 (clothes, bows, books)
T0, T2 (bunny)
E25 (eyes)
YG63 (apple)

That's it from me for this week, I enjoyed making these bookmarks for you, they were quick and easy and just the thing to be doing on a dreary weekend! Hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Hugs,
Erica

  7. I particulalry like that corner bookmark - brilliant detail with that super pile of books. isn't it funny how one small thing can get stuck in your head?? I'm not super organized either - how to do that I don't know - I would be tinkering up to the last moment I think.
