This week we have a pleasure to spotlight Nic
better known as Coops
I asked her to make a brand new Simply Sassy card for us and she used the sweet Pillow Talk
Start by telling us a little about you:
Hi, my name is Nic better known as Coops and i am a married mum of one.
I live in a small town in Staffordshire and i enjoy crafting at night to help me relax and chill out.
When did you start card making and what made you start?
I started card making about 5 years ago when i was made redundant from the job i was in at the time.
I needed to find a hobby that would help to fill my days a little.
I was out of work for a year so in that time i caught the crafting bug.
What is your preferred coloring medium?
I first started by colouring with watercolours but then discovered promarkers about 2 years ago and i love them.
I love the depth of colour you can achieve with them and they really help to bring stamps images to life.I tend to prefer strong colours on my cards, i`m not really a pastel person.
What is your fav Simply Sassy stamp?
My favourite Sassy at the moment is Fairytale.
I love colouring in her fabulous hair and can spend quite a long time adding more shading until i`m happy.
I do have some new Sassys on the way though so i have a feeling that Windswept may soon be my favourite :D
How did you notice the Simply Sassy stamps the first time?
I first noticed the Sassys when they were previewed on the Sugar Nellie blog and thought wow!!
I love the big eyes and flowing hair and they are lovely to colour in.What is your favourite style (card making)?
I love stamping and i don`t really have a specific style.
I like to try out different styles.Sometimes i like clean and simple or distressing.
It all depends on the image i`m working with and what i think looks best with the colours and products i`m using. And what would you love to see more of at the Simply Sassy blog?
I love the Simply Sassy blog and i would love to see more tutorials on colouring techniques and new card shapes to try.
Here are some more of Nic's gorgeous cards!!
