Today our Spotlight is on...

And ofcourse she too was asked to make us a new Sassy card
and here is what she sent me
Using Hippie Chick
Such a gorgeous card.

Start by telling us a little about you:

I live in Ireland with my hubby and 4 school going kiddos. Before
becoming a SAHM I worked in Web Design & Maintenance and dabbled in
Family History.

When did you start card making and what made you start?
I started scrapbooking in 2006 after being introduced to it by some
American friends. I didn't delve into the cardmaking world until
around 2008 when I bought my first image stamp. I was instantly
hooked!

What is your preferred coloring medium?
I love to colour using both distress inks and copics. I've been using
mostly copics for a while now as I love the effect they create. I tend
to use inks for more vintage/distressed style cards.

What is your fav Simply Sassy stamp?
Oooh, do I have to pick a favourite?? I love all of them, lol.

How did you notice the Simply Sassy stamps the first time?
I am a regular visitor to the Sugar Nellie blog - albeit more of a
lurker than a commenter.

What is your favourite style (card making)?
I love Shabby Chic, not that I have quite mastered it. I like to
embellish my cards using loads of flowers, pearls, lace, etc. I don't
do clean and simple :)

And what would you love to see more of at the Simply Sassy blog?
Challenges.. definitely!

Also wanted to show you some of the gorgeous Simply Sassy cards I found in Sandie's blog

These gorgeous stamps you will find over at Funky Kits

Thank you so much Sandie for letting us Spotlight your gorgeous cards!
And I'm sure Sandy would love any comments you may leave her.

And then a little note from me before I leave you with my amazing team until Saturday
A few of you have been wanting Simply Sassy challenges.
But we have challenges over at the Sugar Bowl and would love for all of you to enter!
There are amazing prices for every challenge.
Hope all of you will come join us there

  1. Congrats, Sandie!!
So happy with how far you have come in the 4 years and almost 3 months since I sent you your first little scrapbook. I love your style and how it's grown over the years. I just can't seem to make cards or pages half as pretty. I'm sure your hubby still curses daily for my hand in creating the scrap-stashing monster that has taken over his wife! Love ya, Hon! Happy scrapping!!!

  7. I love the colour combinations Sandie has put together with these 3 & especially the use of the pearls & gems plus that doily whish picks up the patttern in the paper of the large square panel. The stitching is so effective too.

I agree about the challenges too - we can always use a Sassy for the Sugar Bowl & the themes with the sketch provide ample structure, if there is too much splitting there will be too many people required & the beauty at present is that several people are either on the Sassy or the main DT together with the Sugar Bowl & I do think there is so much going on with the Sassy blog that it would be hard to have a separate challenge as well. I'll probably be in the minority here but ..... those are my thoughts.
