Simply Chic

Hello wonderful Sassy fans! Autumn here with your first inspiration post of the day. Today I've tried to do a little something different for me and go a little Shabby Chic with...

...'Oh' La la' available here at Funky Kits. I've only done this style of card a couple of times before and they took me quite a while to complete. This however, just fell together, so I'm wondering if it's missing something, lol. Seemed a bit too easy, but I kept trying to add more and I just didn't like it,lol.

These fabby papers are from Tim Holtz's Shabby paper stack and the pearls are part of a Prima swirl that I cut up. The rest of the embellies are from my stash.. The papers have all been distressed and I put a little stickles on the flowers.

Here's a closer view. I actually colored her all up before I picked the papers and I really suprised myself with my paper choices.  I realized that although I liked her outfit I didn't want this to be a dark card and needed to find a way to brighten it up and I think these papers did a fabulous job of that. I' m not sure you can tell in this pic, but I've also added some stickles to the hearts in her leggings as well as the stripes on the sides of them and to her belt.

Lastly, I wll leave you with my copics.

That's the end of the line for me today. Thank you all for stopping by and be sure to stop by later and see what wonderful creation Anita has to show you.

Have a great day!
xxAutumn

  9. This is gorgeous & I love how you picked up the pink & aqua colours with your floral spray - the curled corner revealing them is utterly effective as is the inclusion of little rosebuds to accentuate the one she is holding. As for the tactility of that hat & her dress - it's like that sort of velvety shiny material like velour. Love the sparkly tights. The way the lace strip leads the eye towards the doily is lovely too - it looks finished to me.
Lovely touch to have the french wording too.
