Tuesday Spotlight

This Tuesday we're putting the Spotlight on Sugar Bowl Sweetie Kiki.

Here is the gorgeous card she made for us

1. Start by telling us a little about you?
Hi, my name is Christel. I'm 43 years old, happily married to the best husband of the world and mother of two teenage boys. I live in a small town in NRW, Germany and I'm working part-time at an elementary school. I love papercrafting, gardening and playing tennis and try to spend as much time as possible at my working desk.

 2. When did you start card making and what made you start?
I started paper crafting in 2008. We went on holiday to Florida for 3 weeks and I wanted to create a keepsake after coming back home. So I looked for some inspiration in the web and discovered the wide range of stamps. Immediately afterwards I was infected by the dangerous (and expensive) stamping and card making virus.

 3. What is your preferred coloring medium?
First I started coloring with watercolor pencils. After a while I discovered some really amazing colorings with Copics on several blogs and decided to give it a try, too. Since then I really love my Copics, the range of intense colors and how you play with them.

 4. What is your fav Simply Sassy stamp?
This is really hard to say. I love them all but I think my absolute favourites are two of my first Simply Sassy images "Little Light of Mine" and "Bella Bunting".

 5. How did you notice the Simply Sassy stamps the first time?
I'm lucky enough to be part of the Sugar Bowl Designteam. I noticed the first release of Simply Sassy stamps on that way.

 6. What is your favourite style?
I don't think I've got a special style. Sometimes I feel like creating clean and simple cards, sometimes I have to use lots and lots of flowers, lace, ribbons, pearls and other embellishments.

 7. And what would you love to see more of at the Simply Sassy blog?
Oh wow, such a difficult question. I always love stopping by and see the newest creations of the designteam. You girls do a fantastic job with all the inspiration and tutorials. It's gorgeous as it is ...

It was a dream looking for gorgeous card to spotlight in Kiki's blog,
just give her a visit as there are more beautiful cards than I can put in here ;)

Be sweet and leave Kiki some L♥VE

Thank you Kiki for letting us spotlight you :)

  7. What strikes me with these 3 is the way the colours are matched between the papers & the image - especially in the second (Call Me) where you can really see the books & striped tops of the socks picked up in the top horizontal panel & in the first the bottom horizontal panel is echoed with the leg warmer colours. In Bella Bunting the lime green middle vertical panel is picked up by the grounding of the image. Lovely pieces of work.
