Simply Striking ;o)

Hi Sugar addicts! For today's inspiration post I have chosen the delectable Strike a Pose, which seems to be temporarily out of stock over at Funky Kits, small wonder I guess as it's such a gorgeous and, again, very versatile stamp!

I have used the sketch from Pink Ink Sketch Challenges and for the style I have tried to emulate our very own Maria Therese, hope I did a good job there ;o). It's just fun to try something different every once in a while, I know we all have our own style but it's not good to get stuck in a rut is it!

Card Ingredients:

Stamps: Simply Sassy "Strike a Pose"; sentiment from Creashop Duymelot
Paper: Elzybells Arts Stamps cardstock kraft; My Mind's Eye "Blush"
Embellishments: Papertrey Ink ribbon; Kars pearls; Prima Marketing roses
Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Oval and Scalloped Oval; EK Success Retro Flower punches; Heidi Swapp paper distresser
Copics:
E00, E51, E93, E21 (skin, cheeks)
Y28, E53, E50 (hair)
R85, R83, R81 (pinks)
G21, G20 (greens)
E41 (stockings)

Right, that's all from me this Sunday, hope you have a great day, thank you for stopping by and I'll see you next week!

Hugs,
Erica

  7. Love the way you've used roses as part of the embellishing & how they highlight the roses in that patterned paper with the turned down corner. I've not had a chance to ink her up yet but am getting more & more excited at the prospect. You've very right about stepping outside the comfort zone too - that's when we find out suprises about ourselves.
