Tuesday Spotlight on...

Today we have a sweet woman that has just caught my eyes..
I fund her blog and lot's of gorgeous cards with her :)
Today I'll introduce you to
Here is the beautiful card she made for us

*Start by telling us a little about you:
I live in Sheffield with my lovely husband and have two grown up children, Samantha and Kyle. I have a 3 year old Grandson, Bradley who I absolutely adore. I work in a school as a Cook and love it.

*When did you start card making and what made you start?
I bought a scrapbook kit when my Grandson was born and progressed into cardmaking when I fancied making my own Christmas cards. I don't scrapbook much now as I am totally hooked on cardmaking and spend all of my spare time in my little craftroom.

*What is your preferred coloring medium?
I love to colour with Promarkers & Derwent artist pencils blended with Sansador.
They work so well together and give a lovely soft, blended look.

*What is your fav Simply Sassy stamp?
I love all of the Simply Sassy's but my absolute favourite is Hippie Chick,
she was the first one I bought and is a pleasure to colour.

*How did you notice the Simply Sassy stamps the first time?
I first saw Simply Sassy's whilst blog hopping and just had to have some.

*What is your favourite style (card making)?
My favourite style is very fussy and fancy, I love to add lots of pretty embellies to my cards.

*And what would you love to see more of at the Simply Sassy blog?
I would love to see some challenges on the Simply Sassy blog
and more of the fab tutorials we've already been treated to.

Here are some of the gorgeous cards I found at Donna's blog:
But do go visit her as there are so many beautiful Sassy cards there.

Tuesday Spotlight on..

This week we have the pleasure of having Sugar Bowl Sweetie
in the Spotlight..
Marlene have lots of gorgeous Simply Sassy cards in her blog and this is what she made for us
Gorgeous party invites using Bedtime Snuggles

*Start by telling us a little about you:
OK, this is the bit I'm not very good at.. but here goes
I'm from Holland originally, traveled the world in my late teens and met my
English hubby whilst working in Spain.
Settled in England, got married, have 3 gorgeous children and we run a Garden Centre in the Midlands.

*When did you start card making and what made you start?
Ever since I can remember I have been creative one way or another.. but when our kids were small I started
getting into scrapping the mountain of pictures I have of them, my love for paper craft was born!
I think the transition into cardmaking from scrapbooking is almost natural as to me cards are like small
scrapbook pages. So about 7 years ago I got into cardmaking on a bigger scale.. this really took off when I
discovered blogging just over 3 years ago now.

*What is your preferred coloring medium?
I'm always switching and changing as I love all sorts of mediums,
but at the moment I am using my Copics for all my colouring.

*What is your fav Simply Sassy stamp?
I could not possibly choose my favorite Sassy.. every time a new set comes out I have a new favorite!
But I still got a soft spot for 'Party Frills' She is just too cute!

*How did you notice the Simply Sassy stamps the first time?
As a past DT for Sugar Nellie I will always keep up with all their news.
I am lucky enough to have met Karen and have special memories of the CHA trip I was invited to a couple of years ago
Karen has got a real 'eye' for new sweetness that the Sugar Nellie fans would like to see in rubber,
and proved it again when the Sassy creations of Krista were launched.

*What is your favorite style (card making)?
I love the distressed and vintage style of card making, but after having tried some SAS I do like to change it up from time to time.

*And what would you love to see more of at the Simply Sassy blog?
I'm always looking for different techniques, card shapes and just general 'out of the box' thinking
But the Simply Sassy blog is already providing those things.. so all I can say is
'I would like to see more of the same' :D

It's always such a treat visiting Marlene's blog and here are some of her Sassy treat's. Go visit her and I PROMISE you will find more :)

Bedtime Snuggles with Kellie...

Hi there Sassy Fans,

Kellie here today to show you what I did with the image "Simply Sassy Bedtime Snuggles" that you can get by clicking HERE... That I showed in my black and white colouring tutorial.  Now I have had this for oh going on over a year, and have always thought I would do something with it, but instead it gets shoved in draws, boxes etc.  But then when we moved I thought NOPE leave it where I can see it to get some inspiration for it.  And then when I seen this image I knew she would be PERFECT and so here is what I made with her....

And a little close up of the image again :)

I bought a wooden door hanger and cover it and it's not on the front of my craft room door.

I coloured her in Distress Inks on watercoloured paper.  And used Graphic 45 to cover it with and used Tim Holtz Tickets, cardboard and lace.

I hope you have enjoyed my little creation and check out all the amazing Sassy Stamps by clicking HERE...

Have a Stamping Fabulous Weekend xx

Bedtime Snuggles

Hello Sassy fans!  I've used Bedtime Snuggles on my card today.  This is the first time I've colored her and I have to say she was so much fun to color.  I love her gorgeous hair and those bunny slippers are just the cutest!

I used my copics and colored pencils to color her and  I added a little Glamour Dust to the heart on her hairbow.  I made my rolled flowers and added a little pearl in their centers.  I added some flourishes, ribbon and a bow, and a little charm.  Orange isn't a color I use very often.  I usually reach for pastel colors when I'm coloring or picking out papers.  But when I saw these new My Mind's Eye papers, I fell in love with them.  So this is something a little different for me but I really like the orange and aqua together.

If you haven't seen Autumn's post from earlier today, be sure to scroll down so you can check it out.  Please stop by tomorrow as Kellie will be sharing a wonderful tutorial with all of us.  And don't forget that you still have plenty of time to play along in the The Sugar Bowl Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.  I hope you have a wonderful evening.

Hugs,
Anita

A friendly card with Bedtime Snuggles

When I made this card I thought It would be perfect to send to my best friend who I sadly only see once or twice a year. The sentiment tops it of and says "Your fantastic! I am so happy you are who you are!"
I colored this image with Copic markers and prisma color pencils.
The papers are mostly Maja design and the sentiment is from Stempelglede (I know this sentiment set is also made an English version of)

I also want to thank you so much for the fantastic amount of participants on last weekend's blog hop!!
You are the best and this makes it so much fun for us to have these blog hops!!

I have a tiny question for you, as I just had my tutorial it is a little while until my next, but It's always on my mind what to offer you next.. I don't do video tutorials so coloring a whole image would take way too many photos as I use a lot of time coloring. But would you be interested in seeing how I give my images the extra spark with my Prisma pencils?  If that would be something you would like shout out.. I would then show you my image after colored with Copics and show you a few tricks with prisma pencil's..

Have a fabby weekend girls!!

Time for Bed

Morning Peeps,

Hope everyone had a fab weekend.  Back to work today, can't say I'm looking forward to it, but best get on it with it, I've got a lot of years before retirement.   You Simply Sassy Girls sure know how to hop, and if you haven't hopped yet, there's still time.  Scroll down and away you go.   Each DT member has two stamps to give away from the new release so you won't want to miss it.  A huge thank you to all those who have already done the hop and left lovely comments for all the Design Team.  I enjoyed all the creations just as much as you.  Weren't they all fab, wow!

Today's inspiration is using that darling Bedtime Snuggles, she is certainly a cutie.  I used her to make a birthday card and a matching little handbag for my son to give my daughter for her birthday last Monday.  The little handbag was for his pressie to go in.  I have made one of the twisted easel cards.  If you haven't tried it you should give it a go, dead easy with fabulous results.

The papers are from Bearly Mine Spring Mix, being released tomorrow.  Fab and Funky hey.  I do love spots and stripes, so this mix is fab.

The dressing table used to be mine. I drew it and had it made into a die a couple of years back. When we decorated our bedroom I got a new dressing table and so passed my old dressing table onto my daughter so it seemed fitting to go onto her card.  Mind you it's not in the same condition that I gave it to her, but the less said about that the better!

Snuggles is placed on the floor of the card using a hinge, so she pops down when the card is closed, and up when it's open.

Here's the little handbag.

Isn't she just so darn cute.  I popped a couple of tiny beads as buttons on her stool.

I used mirri card for the mirror.

Don't forget you have until midday today to complete the hop and the winners will be announced on the individual DT blogs and the Maria will put the full winning list on this blog this evening.  Good luck.
