Wow I can't believe I'm on the new Simply Sassy DT Inspiration Blog, a huge Wooooooo Hoooooo. Were all new to this so please go easy on the new team this week, lol.
As you know we will be commencing tutorials in February, so if there's anything you would like to see, just leave us a message and we will do our best, providing we can accomodate of course.
You'll also notice below this post that we are looking for some Guest Designers to show off the next two releases, so you will receive 6 stamps each month, all details are below this post.
Now, my new release stamps are on their way but haven't reached me yet, so in their absence I have inked up my new "Hippie Chick" stamp available from HERE. Isn't she just gorgeous?
You will see different techniques from me as I don't have a favourite so my style will change from time to time. I have coloured this Chick using copics colours:-
BG09, BG07, BG05, BG01 - Dress
RV23, RV21, RV000 - Leg warmers
E18, E11, E00 - Skin
E25, E31, E50, - Hair
R85, R83 - Flowers in her hair
I have also added W3, W1, W0 for shaded areas to tone down the colours for a sort of distressed look and I have also used prisma pencils for extra shading.
All papers have been distressed using the Making Memories tool but any distressing tool will do or I even resort to my Fiskars Finger Tool, it's just as good, particularly if my making memories tool has got lost under my pile of papers and mess that I work in, lol. I have added Tim Holtz Distress ink to all the edges of the papers and then added my favourite stickles.
I have used an "in Bloom" embossing folder by craft concepts and embossed this onto coredinations Cardstock and then sanded over the embossing to create that worn look.
I have used the Whiff of Joy Banner Die and stamped the words "Lots of Love" onto each panel.
The flowers and doily have been distressed using the walnut stain as well and a little dash of star dust stickles, my favourite.
I hope I have inspired you to get our your Sassy's and have a play. If you have any questions please free free to ask and don't forget the GD call below this post. Have a good day.

Wonderful card! I love how you colored the image. I had to laugh at your commentary; it's so nice to know that I'm not the only one who loses tools under the pile of paper, scraps of ribbon, and other goods that accumulate!

I found this so helpful with your commentary & the listing of the Copics - I sat for ages looking at the detail too & I love those pearls on the flowers & how the pearly texture is carried through by the the little hearts. I too lose things under something else & my husband is forever presenting me with little gems/pearls or sparkly bits of paper (just in case it was a vital bit I'd lost) he somehow finds around the house - they even creep into his study.
