I have to admit I've never really liked making boy's cards.. I just love the pink and purple and the lace and doilies.. I even gave my husband a tag on his Christmas gift with a girl on...
And when Karen sent me set 3 of the Simply Sassy's with 3 boys in the guy's were not the first to be inked..
But then I had to make a card for my Husband's birthday (he refuse me to use the word 'hubby' as he have seen on so many other blog's that I've left open on the PC he says he's not my hobby)
Well anyway my husband needed a birthday card and since he told me he only get pink cards with girls on I had to ink up one of the guy's.. And this is the result.. To my surprise I don't hate making boy's cards anymore..
I really enjoyed making this card ♥
And to my friend Elaine's big fear I don't mind there coming more Sassy boy's in the future (Yes Elaine I had to mention you..)
I'm terrible at remembering what exact colors I've used for coloring. Yes I know your spoiled by Tracey yesterday getting to know every marker she used.. So the short version is that I use Copic Markers for coloring and Prisma color pencils for the shadowing.
The paper I've used is from Basic Grey -Marjolaine collection. I also used corrugated cardboard that I distressed with Distress Ink- brushed corduroy.
The cool boy is called 'Lost in thought' and you can find him here together with Romantic Dreamer that I've used on this tag
For this tag I've used Papers from Maya Designs and the December calender sheet I've made in PhotoShop and printed out. Also used Copic Markers and Prisma color pencils for the coloring.
I hope there is many of you out there who have decided to try out for the GDT search. I know it will be hard to choose but I love seeing all those Sassy creations out there in your blog land.. Remember you need a Simply Sassy stamp to enter. Not only because I want to see how you color these Girls/boys but so that I know you are a Simply Sassy fan like me...
I will be back this Thursday to show off my Sugar Bowl card ♥♥
Awesome cards and I love that tag.

Detta var intressant. Interesting - the different styles that are shown are so instructive. I don't have a hobby hubby either. Jag blev full av skratt. I had to laugh - now I'm getting terribly confused which language....... so I'd better stick to English in future here.....& get back to commenting. I like that grungy accenting stamp with the layering onto dark brown matched by the ruggedness of those fibres - they remind me of rug wool.

Adorable card and tag! I have a difficult time with boy cards, too, but you knocked this one out of the park. The colors and distressing are perfect for a masculine card.

fab card and tag Maria, I'm not a fan of making cards for men and boys but Sugar Nellie has taken the hard work out of it for me.
