A Hippie Kind of Day

Hey all you sassy fans! Autumn here with some more inspiration for you. Today I've decided to use my still(until now) uncolored Hippie Chick. This poor girl has been waiting and waiting for me to color her up. Anyway, I wanted to do something a little different for you today, so I came up with this...

I know it kind of looks like a card from this view, but it's actually a mini accordion folder. The pretty papers are Echo Park and are all distressed with chalk inks. All of the embellies are also from the kit the paper came in.

Here's what the back of the folder looks like. The matching brad was made with my I-top brad maker.

Here's a side view. I've got some stamped images in there now, so you can see you can fill it pretty good...there's about 10 images and still plenty of room.

Lastly, here's a closer view of this gorgeous girl. I've forgotten to take a pic of the copics, but her skin was E00,000,0000 and her clothes were R89,85.83,81 and RV000.

Well, that's all for me today, I hope you've enjoyed my little project. Please be sure to stop and check out Anita's beautiful inspiration from earlier today.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day!

  1. she's gorgeous, Autumn! i just got her in the mail the other day and trimmed her up but am scared to stamp her. LOL after all this time and being so excited to finally color one of these stamps, now i'm so nervous! hopefully she'll get inky soon. esp after seeing this fabulous inspiration.

  2. what a cute idea, and i love how you colored her. adorable.

  3. Lovely card and fab colours! Just received four more sassy's in post this morning, so having been to teach a class this afternoon I'm looking forward to a whole day in my craft room tomorrow...think I might know the colours I'll be trying!!

  4. this is fab!!! one of my Fav Sassy images...Loving the DP!! just perfect for the whole hippy flower power feel!!! LOVE it!! Hugs Juls

  5. BEAUTIFUL - talk about flower power! hHe is stunning and this reminds me of many years ago when my hair was that length and I was a real hip chick! Lovley memories for me, Sheila:)X

  7. I love the butterfly & the way she is sitting next to those flowers in the patterned paper. The whole idea of an accordion folder really appeals & this is such a lovely idea using her. The softness of her dress colouring chimes so well with the papers, & it's all so subtly done that it doesn't shout Flower Power but stll points to it.
