Something cool...

Hello Sassy fans and happy friday! Did those bright colors on this creation make you blink? Well, if so I am sorry. But this card was made for the 10th birthday of my girls´ best friend and 10 year old love black and pink and skulls! And of course
Skater Girl
was the perfect image to use for this creation! She´s so cool - and that´s what life is all about at the age of 10... To make her look even cooler - and to make the colors match with the papers I´ve picked - I gave her some pink hair.

I made a pocket card since I needed to include a gift card in it. Pocket cards are very easy and fast to do. Just cut the paper double as wide as you want your card to be, score in the middle and cut off a part of the front. You can do this straight or diagonal or even use a border punch/cutting die. Glue the pieces together only at the bottom and the side and decorate. For the inside just cut a card like 1" smaller in hights and wide so it fits into the pocket.

I also took a picture of the card with the "tag" pulled out (and this will also give you a look at the gift that didn´t make it in time from the States):

And these are the markers I used to color the image in:

I hope you liked this card as much as my girls´ friend did! ;O)

  8. Super idea & I love how you've picked out the aqua colour in the paper, her jeans & that eyelet - nice a subtle contrasting beautifully with the flamboyant pink - brilliant idea with the pink hair too.
