Time for Bed

Morning Peeps,

Hope everyone had a fab weekend.  Back to work today, can't say I'm looking forward to it, but best get on it with it, I've got a lot of years before retirement.   You Simply Sassy Girls sure know how to hop, and if you haven't hopped yet, there's still time.  Scroll down and away you go.   Each DT member has two stamps to give away from the new release so you won't want to miss it.  A huge thank you to all those who have already done the hop and left lovely comments for all the Design Team.  I enjoyed all the creations just as much as you.  Weren't they all fab, wow!

Today's inspiration is using that darling Bedtime Snuggles, she is certainly a cutie.  I used her to make a birthday card and a matching little handbag for my son to give my daughter for her birthday last Monday.  The little handbag was for his pressie to go in.  I have made one of the twisted easel cards.  If you haven't tried it you should give it a go, dead easy with fabulous results.

The papers are from Bearly Mine Spring Mix, being released tomorrow.  Fab and Funky hey.  I do love spots and stripes, so this mix is fab.

The dressing table used to be mine. I drew it and had it made into a die a couple of years back. When we decorated our bedroom I got a new dressing table and so passed my old dressing table onto my daughter so it seemed fitting to go onto her card.  Mind you it's not in the same condition that I gave it to her, but the less said about that the better!

Snuggles is placed on the floor of the card using a hinge, so she pops down when the card is closed, and up when it's open.

Here's the little handbag.

Isn't she just so darn cute.  I popped a couple of tiny beads as buttons on her stool.

I used mirri card for the mirror.

Don't forget you have until midday today to complete the hop and the winners will be announced on the individual DT blogs and the Maria will put the full winning list on this blog this evening.  Good luck.

  7. I love the way you've made her pop down again for when the card is closed & that dressing table is a beauty. amazing & I love the way you've combined those spots & stripes. I like the way you've placed the stripes in different directions with the paper piecing on the dressing table - so one side is a cupboard & the other a set of drawers. The handbag is a lovely combination of those spots & stripes & I love your use of her head & then the alternating colours of pearls.
