flowers feed the soul

Happy friday to all of you!
Welcome to today´s inspiration post - this is Kathrin and I have a spring-ish and totally pink card to share with you today.

At least here in Germany spring has finally arrived and I got totally inspired by the sunny weather, the birds voices that I can hear through the open window, the little flowers that are popping out everywhere now... This probably is the real sign of spring to me - blooming flowers. So of course I needed to put a few on my card as well. And the best image to go with flowers is

Hippie Chick.

I so can see her sitting in a blooming meadow, making her self a little wreath from flowers.

The current challenge at Copic Creations is to use our favourite Copic coloring technique. One of the DT members did the coloring on other than white paper - and I remembered how much fun it was when I once tried it. So I took some kraft cardstock, stamped my image on it using a brown ink pad and then colored it in with these Copics:

I didn´t want it to turn out too bright but wanted to have some depth in it though and so I used my Prismacolors to add some shadows.

Papers are by DCWV and First Edition Papers,
text by Whiff Of Joy,
ribbon and punch by Stampin´Up,
flourish by Magnolia.

I am also going to announce the winner of my "secret" blog candy here that I was giving away at the hop. I didn´t have the chance to get on the computer earlier since my husband took it over and so I think it´s fair to announce it here. So, drum roll please... it´s

Merete!

Congrats, could you please email me with your snail mail so I can send that surprise out to you.

Have a wonderful and sunny weekend all of you - and take time to smell the flowers!
