I've Been Experimenting Again!

 Morning Simply Sassy Fans,

Well, I have admired from afar the work done with prisma pencils on kraft cardstock and really wanted to give it a go, so I decided yesterday that today was the day.   I tried searching the internet for skin combos as I really didn't know what pencils to use, but that search was without success really.  It might of helped if I had actually coloured a whole image using prisma's on white cardstock before so at least I would of had some idea, but as I've said before once I get an idea in my head I run with it.  So anyway, my search didn't amount to much so I ended up with a multitude of pencils on my table and as such I still couldn't tell you what I used, lol, so if there's anyone out there that can help me or point me in the right direction I would be obliged.

I love the pastel effect that the prismas give on kraft so I will be continuing my practice and will get braver as I've played it a little safe, but overall I'm pretty pleased with the result.

  2. wow, this looks fantastic. I have tried colouring black and white on Kraft but have not tried colour - I must give it a go now! I also use Prismas and would also love to know what others use as skin colours (and hair colours).

  7. Oh Tracy, just tried this on my own over the weekend and so love the effect. Your card is stunning and the coloring is amazing. Will have to copy your way of adding white highlighted areas to the image - it´s such a georgeous effect!

If I do coloring with the Prismas I use PC927 Light Peach and PC939 Peach for the skin and PC1092 Nectar for the cheeks.

    Hugs,

  8. The little grunge stamp will have to go on my wish list - here it really is picked up beautifully with your chpboard diecuts - love the combination of pink, kraft & white with the green to accent. As others have already said the shading is lovely - looking forward to seeing more of this.

  15. Hi Tracey, love your card, it's totally cute.
I work quite a lot with kraftpaper, because I like the effect it has on colours, they look more vived. But to be honest I use the same pinky colours on kraft as on plain white paper. Sometimes the light pinks (rosy, peach or flesh pink - name depends on brand of pencils) turn out to white, than I add a very thin layer of a more brighter pink. For shadows I use warm grey or cool gray, but never black. The fun part of kraftpaper is that you can add some highlights with white, which makes the image come alive.

    hope this will help
