Simply Vintage

Good evening Sassy friends.  I hope you've had a wonderful day.  I've got something new to share with you this evening and I hope it inspires you to pull out your Simply Sassy stamps.

I used Vintage Boutique for my card today.  I colored this lovely lady with copics and colored pencils and then I decided I would distress my card ... to go along with the vintage theme.  Now I have to admit, I'm not much of a distresser.  For some reason, I have a difficult time making myself rough up the edges of my paper lol!  But I think I managed to do a proper job with the distressing, don't you?  I've added some lace and a lacey rosette that I made.  The pearl in the rosette is actually a brad that I've had forever.  My layout is Maria Therese's sketch from over at The Sugar Bowl.  There's still lots of time to enter that challenge so be sure to pop over and check it out.  This sweetie was so much fun to color.  You can find Vintage Boutique and all her sassy friends over at Funky Kits.

Have you seen Autumn's lovely project from earlier today?  If not, please scroll down because you won't want to miss it.  And be sure to stop back by tomorrow as we'll have another fabulous tutorial to share with you.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Stamp:  Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy - Vintage Boutique

  2. Love that lace flower with the pearly centre - stunning & the colours of this are just lovely. I don't manage roughing up the edges very well either & am much happier inking them. I particulalry like her aqua top & the way it picks up on the patterned paper's similar hues.
