Happy friday Sassy fans! This is Kathrin and I am sharing a card using
Guinevere
today.
To me she looks like a queen or roman goddess so she needed to shine... I colored her in reds, cream and golden yellows and liked the idea of leaving her hair white.
I used golden embossing powder to add some flourishes around the image and to distress the designer´s papers and also added some golden cord.
The wreath is by Martha Stewart and originally it´s a christmas wreath but it remembered me of those wreath made from olive branches the romans loved to give their gods.
These are the markers I used to color the image:

I LOVE the sentiment and the gold and burgandy!! So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteStunning card, :)X
ReplyDeleteQuite stunning with all the gold embossing & the shine around her is very effective too. She does look like a medieval queen & I the wreath looks good too - it does remind one of the laurel wreaths from antiquity & yses there is something about the goddess about here - lots to think about with this.

Stunning Kathrin, I love the "glow" around Guinevere and that laurel wreath takes her back to roman times !!!

Love it Kathrin and your right that wreath does go so well as the Romans wore them, can I tell I've been watching "Spartacus", lol. Beautiful colouring and embossing and love the rich colours. Hugs Tracy x
